These little sandwiches are quick and easy to make. I tried them over Christmas break and they were delicious! There are numerous recipes on Pinterest for these, and most of them are savory, but if you prefer sweet then use honey mustard instead of dijon or add a little brown sugar to the mix. If you don’t have exactly the right ingredients on hand, making substitutions is totally acceptable- ask me, I know. (But my kids still thought they were great!)

What you’ll need:

1 package King’s hawaiian original hawaiian sweet dinner rolls

Swiss cheese slices

 Deli honey ham slices

1 tsp Onion powder

1 1/2 tbsp Dijon mustard

1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp Poppy seeds

1/2 cup Butter

9″ x 13″ glass baking pan


Melt 1 stick of butter in a pan and add the onion powder, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and poppy seeds. Stir well.

Slice open the dinner rolls and place the bottom halves in the baking pan. Layer slices of cheese over the roll bottoms, followed by layers of ham. Put the remaining halves of the dinner rolls on top.

Pour the liquid ingredients (which were heated on the stovetop) over the tops of the rolls in the baking dish. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes at 350˚. Remove from the oven, cut sliders apart and serve. Enjoy!
