Panic or Peace?

“God is good to one and all; everything He does is suffused with grace.”

                            Psalm 145:9 The Message

In the midst of betrayal, there’s stress. No doubt about it. Throw in the corona virus factor, and the stress multiplies. It’s wearisome, right? With the information being shared right now, it’s a lot to process- but have you noticed some will panic while others remain calm?

With all the commotion, chaos, and craziness surrounding the corona virus continuum, sometimes I just have to stop and wonder if God isn’t showing us mercy in the midst of it all.

It sounds contradictory to His goodness, but could it be he’s holding back his wrath from a disobedient prideful world? Remember Noah’s time before the flood?

It’s easy to become overwhelmed in our fears, inconveniences, and uncertainties of what lies ahead. It’s ok to have feelings of disappointment when things don’t happen the way we want them to.

Yet with a different perspective, is it possible to notice God’s grace instead?

When we know God is good, (because His character does not change) and bad stuff happens, does it get people’s attention?

Is He actually giving grace and extending His hand of mercy? Is it a warning to turn to Him?

I wonder what it would take to get the world’s attention? To get people to notice God- that He will not be mocked?

Will it take the corona virus to remind us of our mortality and where we’ll spend eternity?

Just food for thought today, but written with a heart of gratitude for belonging to Jesus, the One and Only Savior who brings peace in times of chaos. For this promise, the weary world and we, can rejoice.
