Choose to Soar

A friend in my breathingroom.life group pointed out that when an eagle soars, there is minimal flapping. It doesn’t require effort for an eagle to soar!

“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; They will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31 NIV

This is what Jesus does for us. When we are weary from abuse, deceit, or ongoing betrayal, He strengthens us- He helps us soar- conquering whatever lies before us- with minimal flapping!

I’ve been thinking about this idea ever since she mentioned it. Wouldn’t we all like to be soaring eagles rather than little hummingbirds with continual flapping and effort?

When we put our trust in the Lord it becomes reality. It’s a promise He gives us! Let’s receive and believe this verse- and watch ourselves soar!
