A Destroyer

In Ezekiel Chapter 20, we find the Israelites exiled in Babylon due to their rebellion against God’s decrees and laws.

When God revealed himself in Egypt, and promised a land flowing with milk and honey, He also told them, “Each of you, get rid of the vile images you have set your eyes on, and do not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt. I AM the Lord your God.” (Verse 7)

Guess what happened? They didn’t listen! They rebelled and did NOT get rid of the vile images, nor did they forsake the idols, so God GAVE THEM OVER and let them become defiled. (verse 26)

Not much has changed since then. The defiled images of the past replace the pornography of today, minus technology.

Perhaps first-born children are no longer being sacrificed as they were then, but marriage and family relationships certainly are.

Bringing pornography into homes destroys-  even if the perpetrators believe, “I’m not hurting anyone.”

If you are reading this and have discovered pornography in your home, I am truly sorry. It is shocking, hurtful, and yes- devastating.

I am so sorry for this abuse you have endured.

I see your pain.

I know your sadness.

I feel the same anguish in your soul.

Bring all your hurts to Jesus.

He understands.

He cares about you.

He loves you.

“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you. He will never leave you or forsake you. Do not be discouraged.”
