Blessing

Each morning before leaving for school, my daughter scurries about- getting her lunch ready, putting books in her backpack, preparing for her day.

Often I’m preparing as well, and she usually finds me at my desk or on our couch, and sometimes stands quietly staring at me.

My first thought is, “What does she want?” and then I realize. She’s waiting for my prayer and blessing on her day.

Do we pause to acknowledge God and seek a blessing for our day, or are we so pre-occupied with our to-do’s, we barely cast a glance His way, let alone a stare in His direction?

Did you know God is ready and waiting for you? Wanting to spend time with you? Ready to bless you?

Go to Him now. Seek and find Him in His Word. His desire is not to condemn or give us a guilt trip, but to bless!

“Taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.”  Psalm 34:8 NIV
