Soul Care: Being a Good Steward

I used to plant paperwhite bulbs in pots every November— without fail. Come Christmas, I’d have glorious white flowers blooming inside.

When life got hard, planting bulbs was not even on my radar. The simple hobbies I enjoyed were forgotten as I sat, consumed in despair and hopelessness.

Friends, if you’re experiencing grief right now, please know you can still be joyful in that pain.

Think of something that brought you joy in the past, that you’ve forgotten about.

Maybe some cut flowers for your table would radiate some joy right now. Do it friend. It’s not being selfish, it’s self-care— being a good steward of what God has given you. You need to nourish your soul with good things!

Did you notice the photo? Paperwhites thrown out from long ago. Just another example of God bringing beauty from ashes, which He promises to do. 🌸💕🐝
