Are you passing through the Valley of Baca?

Psalm 84 is so rich with truth and meaning. It speaks of people on a pilgrimage.

In verse five it says, “Blessed are those whose strength is in you who have set their hearts on pilgrimage, as they pass through the Valley of Baca.”

In verse seven, “They go from strength to strength till each appears before God in Zion.”

No specific valley has been identified with Baca. However, “Baca” can mean “weeping”and may have been symbolic in reference.

It may be in regard to tears and struggles we go through on our way to find hope in Jesus.

Has your betrayal trauma journey been filled with tears, heartache, and disappointment? (You’re probably thinking what an absurd question!) Of course we have tears! Boatloads full!

If we’re on a journey to know God, seek him, and spend time with him, we will be able to view this betrayal adversity as an opportunity to see God‘s faithfulness.

We may walk through “Valleys of Baca” before we get to our destination, sometimes feeling God has abandoned us, but walking TO God and NOT AWAY from Him is what will get us through.

Give God your attention as you go through your own Valley of Baca. He is faithful to comfort and guide you on your pilgrimage.
