Fly Not Faint

Something for my writer friends!

I did not intend to share the following account. It was written for my journal. But then I decided, why not? So here you go. 

My first thought when I woke up a few weeks ago was, “Today’s the day I’m sending my book to the publisher! Yay!”

Right then, I heard a short squeal. I went downstairs to see where the noise came from and as I glanced at the Internet box, I noticed a red flower instead of a blue one. The enemy was messing with me, again. The internet was down. 

I stood squarely before the box and said outloud, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine according to his power that is at work within us. (Ephesians 3:20) Jesus, you have all power over every other power. The evil one, his demons, nor his minions have any power. At your name, the name of Jesus, they must flee.”

No sooner had I gotten the last word out of my mouth and the box went black. Not kidding. 

I went into the kitchen to get my coffee and when I came back the internet was up and running with a beautiful blue flower.

There will be all kinds of obstacles in your path when you are trying to get God-given words where they need to go. Don’t let the devil mess with you. Trust in the all-powerful one to be there, helping you fly, not faint. And may you always see blue flowers. Amen.

  2. So glad you could get your book submitted, Debra! If only technology would always obey when we call on God’s power. My printer recently stopped working…I think I’ll try this before I get a new one. 🙂
