Perhaps you’ve told someone your story, but they didn’t leave space for you—making their own assumptions or being judgmental.

After an experience like this, the next time it happens and someone asks how you’re doing, instead of being vulnerable, perhaps you may say, “I’m fine, how are you?”

We might be eager to redirect the conversation, but this can lead to isolation—something to be avoided.

Not everyone understands what you’ve been through, so find those who do. Validation, support, and encouragement, await you in a support group for betrayal trauma.

Don’t walk alone when there are those who “get it” and want to walk with you. DM me and we’ll talk. 💜

I agree, Debra. I have suffered an debilitating, invisible disease for 36 years, Rheumatoid Arthritis. The pain never stops, but I look healthy, so everything is fine, right?. The truth is, we are all, alone, searching for meaning.
