Forget-Me-Nots

Don’t you just love the name of these delicate little flowers?

I’ve forgotten a lot. In fact, forgetfulness has been holding my hand  for years. I refer specifically to a habit (I used to have) while approaching my locked car.

With my arms overflowing with a purse, books, bags, or what-have-you, preventing me from opening the car door, I would place items on top of the car, and open the door to get in—completely forgetting all about whatever item was waiting on the roof of the car.

This forgetfulness resulted in:

  1. A favorite hat blowing off to be lost forever. 😥
  1. An expensive camera being permanently damaged when I applied the brakes. 😬
  1. Cereal/milk spilling and covering my windshield as I turned a corner. 😳

Normally, I dislike forgetting, but at times I have asked God to help me forget things—to remove a memory or thought that places me on a downward spiral. Gratefully, He has been faithful to erase them.

But here’s the thing: There are a few things we must NEVER EVER forget:

His unconditional love and grace. ❤️

His mercies, new every morning. ☀️

His provision and protection. 💚

His majesty 👑

His forgiveness: past, present, and future. ✝️

His faithfulness to all generations of those who love Him. 💙

Pause to remember. 🤔 Ask Him to remind you—to help you to never forget how good He is. Forget-me-not? How about Forget-Him-not?
