Psalm 103 is brimming with truth.
“who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion”
David is speaking of the one true God—coming to rescue him. The same God who whispered Biblical truth in my ear and rescued me from the slimy pit of wrong thinking.
The Bible speaks of an enemy. A deceiver who lies—who is the father of lies. I used to believe him—thinking I was too unlovable for even God to love me. So wrong!
Praise God He spoke truth to me, and He speaks truth to you, too!
“Praise the Lord, O my soul all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagles.” from Psalm 103

Psalm 103 is one of m favorites. Verses 8-14 were my life line at one point in my life when I was struggling in an area of frequent failure.

Ellie Holcomb has a song based on Psalm 103 called, “ Don’t Forget His Love“. You will love it!

Nice! 🙂
(I love that Psalm 103 was written thousands of years before “self-talk” became a buzz word in the world of psychiatry. 😉 )
