Sometimes we become complacent and gloss over God’s promises. We forget His word. We go about life feeling full of despair–it’s easy to do, we only need to look at the state our world is in. Chaos, confusion, hopelessness.
But God reminds us as His children there IS hope. He is our LIVING hope!
Is it possible to have hope and joy in the midst of despair? When we don’t, what’s left?
The key to having/retaining joy and hope is FOCUS.
Do you remember what happens when Peter walks on water and takes his eyes off Jesus, focusing on his dire circumstances, instead?
Yep. He sinks!
In trying times we may lose hope, unless…
Stand firm on the ROCK who is solid ground when everything else is sinking sand. He promises to uphold you with His righteous right hand.
