Steadfast in 2022

I chose a word of encouragement for 2022: steadfast. I found two passages—both of them perfect to align my thoughts with God’s.

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness…Therefore, I will hope in Him.” Lamentations 3:22-24

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.“   Isaiah 26:3

The first verse speaks of God’s steadfast love and the second refers to keeping our minds steadfast on God.

Steadfast means loyal, constant, unwavering, unflinching, unswerving, unmovable—just like God’s love for us.

When our focus on Jesus is steadfast, we have peace and are released from worry.

Is this a word you need today? As women experiencing betrayal, sometimes our minds are preoccupied with the “what if’s or what’s next?” Many of our thoughts are fear-based.

What do you focus on? If you’re like me,  craving peace, ready to have your mind at rest, God offers this when we are steadfast, trusting him. Acknowledging God is only one breath away.
