Ever been ghosted? Familiar with the term? It’s an abuse tactic.
I’ve encountered many women who have been ghosted. It’s when someone in a relationship with you disappears without warning. They go silent. They may physically leave, eventually come back, or not. Sometimes it happens in our home: the silent treatment.
It feels like being abandoned. There’s no explanation or closure.
But the purpose? It’s so the abusive person can avoid communication, yet MAINTAIN CONTROL.
Be alert. Don’t isolate yourself. Although you may be feeling controlled or abandoned, remember God sees what’s happening. You aren’t alone. Find a confidant to walk through with you. Get yourself safe.
