Years ago, I heard a message on the prodigal son I will never forget. My pastor made a statement:
“It wasn’t until he was in the middle of a forkful of pig slop, did he come to his senses and realize he could be feasting at his Father’s table.”
Then the question:
“So when are we going to put our forks down?”
Ouch, right? How often do we replace what rightfully belongs to Jesus with other things? Let’s not settle for anything less than Jesus, because He is the ONLY ONE who satisfies our longings and fills our emptiness.
