Some ask if it’s possible to ever be fully healed from the effects of betrayal. We’d love to be healed instantly , but truthfully, I believe it’s a lifelong process. God continues transforming and sanctifying us to be more and more like him.

2 Corinthians 3:18 says, “So all of us who have had the veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord, who is the Spirit, makes us more and more like Him as we are changed into His glorious image.”

That’s why I keep pressing into Jesus who is the ultimate healer. I make spending time with him a priority so strongholds slip away, and all that remains is Jesus’ love, protection, and direction.

If you feel stuck, like nothing is changing, perhaps a different approach is in order. We need to release control to let God work.

Acknowledging and trusting Jesus with all our heart is the first step. A promise follows. He will make our paths straight. (Proverbs 3:6)
