Knitted Together

“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mothers womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” Psalm 139: 13-14a

Being a knitter myself, I have a particular affection for these verses. I know what happens when the stitch count gets off—

It may mean one has to frog the work, unraveling multiple rows back to where the mistake was made.

The difference between God’s work and human work is God doesn’t make mistakes. He formed each of us by design, even before we were conceived, in the depths of the earth. (vs.15)

The days of our lives were written before one of them came to be. (vs. 16)

His precious thoughts about us exceed the number of grains of sand on a seashore. (vs.17-18)

It’s hard for our human minds to fathom—how great His love is for each of us. How else can we respond but with praise and worship for who he is? Acknowledge Him now. 💗
