Truth or Consequences

“All at once he followed like an ox going to the slaughter, like a deer stepping into a noose till an arrow pierces his liver, like a bird darting into a snare little knowing it will cost him his life.” Proverbs 7:22-23

The Enemy has a way of distracting us from truth. It’s subtle and crafty, sneaky as a snake.

As we allow sin to creep in, suddenly it no longer seems sinful. We accept what is clearly unacceptable, according to God’s word.

Our herd mentality assumes space, believing what culture believes, no longer faithful to the Way, Truth, and Life.

It takes intentionality to stay on the path leading to life—when we drift away from God, we end up exactly like the person in the Proverbs quote.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to be like a deer in a noose, caught unaware, awaiting death. Separation from God has serious consequences. Don’t wait—because time is short.
