If we pray to make us more like Jesus, and we are sincere, we can’t always expect smooth sailing.
Part of the sanctification process includes some rough waters. If we need to go through a storm or two to develop our character? God will allow it to happen!
But through the deep waters, doesn’t he promise to be our anchor? It’s only when we realize we need saving and cling to the life saver right in front of us, when we see God‘s faithfulness.
It requires courage to pray to be more like Jesus, but isn’t it worth it? With him we have firm footing, kept from being ineffective or unfruitful.
