Radiance

“Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.” Psalm 34:5

Married and divorced, twice. I relate to my friend because we both share this fact as part of our stories.

And how the enemy likes to make us feel ashamed! He wants us to think because of two failed marriages, we are the common denominator—therefore it surely must be our fault, right?

Maybe you’ve experienced betrayal? Are you taking on shame that doesn’t belong to you?

When I stray from God’s Word or forget His truths, shame takes over and the devil does a happy dance.

But what does God say?

“Fear not for I have redeemed you. I have called you by name. You are mine.” Isaiah 43:1

“You are clothed in strength and dignity. You can laugh without fear of the future.” Proverbs 31:25

“I have loved you with an everlasting love. I have drawn you with loving kindness.” Jeremiah 31:3

“So do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

Friend, you are not the cause of someone else’s choices. You are only responsible for your own. Don’t let the enemy get his grip on you. Instead, go back to what God’s word says. Nothing can separate His love from you. Believe and receive.
